Head of Finance

The Financial Director role is a key leadership position within PGI, acting as the number two to the Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

You will lead initiatives, provide robust financial scrutiny and challenge, and represent the finance function across the business.

Financial Planning and Reporting

  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date projection of current full year performance.
  • Identify and communicate risks and opportunities to the plan.
  • Partner with the group as the finance expert, providing accounting and tax implications, scenario planning, and what-if analysis.
  • Add finance input to live organisational and operational challenges.
  • Hold the group to account on delivery of the financial result and monitor progress against targets.

Financial Control

  • Lead on audit and tax compliance, acting as the main point of contact for PGI.
  • Owning commission calculations and reviewing payroll before it is committed.
  • Coach the team to produce robust financial results.
  • Lead and motivate the finance team to be more outward-facing.

Requirements

  • Strong financial accounting and control skills, balanced with commercial support and decision-making awareness.
  • Ideal candidate is a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or has significant similar experience with a willingness to continue developing knowledge.
  • Expertise in producing data-driven reports and providing insightful analysis.
  • Advanced MS Office and systems skills to lead solution development.
  • Effective relationship-building and influencing skills.
