About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Trainee Property Manager to join our Property Management Centre in Bamber Bridge, Preston. As a Trainee Property Manager, you will be responsible for assessing and resolving maintenance issues, maintaining high standards of communication with landlords and tenants, and conducting and analyzing property inspection reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and resolve maintenance issues by urgency and importance
  • Maintain high standards of communication with landlords and tenants
  • Conduct and analyze property inspection reports and liaise with landlords
  • Book checkouts, analyze reports, and process documentation in line with company processes
  • Manage end of tenancy returns for a managed client portfolio
  • Negotiate dilapidation compensation for landlords of a managed client portfolio
  • Check invoices received against works orders and arrange payment to contractors
  • Manage tenancy renewal process for landlords and tenants
  • Monitor rent arrears, chase payments, and update landlords promptly
  • Prepare and serve legal notices
  • Ensure deposit returns are managed within a 10-14 day turnaround time

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good personal presentation and conduct
  • Good IT knowledge
  • Good general administration and organizational skills
  • Build effective relationships within the internal network and with customers
  • Good problem-solving skills
