Audit Director Job Opportunity
This is a unique chance to lead the audit department of a reputable, multi-office accountancy practice with a strong presence across the UK. As an experienced auditor, you will oversee the leadership of the audit department, lead large and complex audits, and mentor management to nurture talent and foster a supportive working environment.
About the Role
- Lead the audit department in line with fellow experienced leaders at the firm.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring client expectations and deadlines are met.
- Lead larger, more complex audit and corporate cases across the firm.
- Oversee and mentor management who in turn mentor junior team members, promoting a supportive and educational working environment.
- Collaborate with other teams within the firm to provide a cohesive service.
- Contribute to the firm's business growth by developing relationships with key contacts and building a prospective network.
- Identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients.
- Review internal processes and provide recommendations to improve efficiencies across the Audit function.
- Set an example to the team as a hands-on and approachable leader.

The Ideal Candidate
- ACA or ACCA qualified with RI status or equivalent experience.
- A proven track record of managing an audit portfolio within practice, from planning to completion.
- Previous senior management experience with a positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated and reliable with a drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team.
- Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency.
- Networking and relationship building skills.
- First-class organisational, multi-tasking, and delegation skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to confidently seek new business opportunities.
