About the Role

We are seeking three experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partners to join our team. As a key member of our new service, you will work closely with our services to provide authoritative advice and guidance on health and safety matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters to all stakeholders
  • Review and audit health and safety management arrangements and implement improvements
  • Conduct and review risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Collaborate with managers to support health, safety and wellbeing excellence
  • Drive behavioural change across the Council
  • Develop and deliver engaging communications and training to employees

About You

  • Significant experience in a similar health, safety and wellbeing role, preferably in a large, complex organisation
  • Relevant health and safety qualification, such as Nebosh General Certificate or equivalent
  • Investigation skills to implement health and safety systems and identify training needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and motivate others to adopt safer working practices
  • Data analysis skills to identify trends and report to leadership teams
  • A proactive and systematic approach to work, with strong organisational skills
