Ground Control is seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute Lead Ecological Consultant to enhance our in-house Ecology Consultancy team. This position is ideal for an accomplished Senior Ecologist eager to advance their career or a current Principal Ecologist looking for new challenges.

Company Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the management of UK Habitat Classification Surveys and protected species assessments.
2. Develop competitive tenders and detailed fee proposals efficiently.
3. Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Biodiversity Net Gain reports, and Habitat Management Plans.
4. Manage medium to large-scale projects while monitoring financial performance.
5. Supervise and mentor junior ecologists.
6. Address logistical and regulatory challenges effectively.

Candidate Profile:
We invite applications from experienced Senior Ecologists or current Principals seeking a new opportunity. Candidates must possess full membership in the Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (MCIEEM), a relevant degree, and at least one protected species license. A Personal Track Safety accreditation is advantageous.

Ideal Candidates Will:
- Exhibit a passion for team leadership.
- Effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in technical reporting.
- Have a strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation and its application.
- Communicate clearly and consistently.
- Be personable and collaborative, even under pressure.
- Hold a valid UK driving license.
