We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as Treasurer for CPRE Rutland. As Treasurer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial sustainability of our charity and contributing to our mission to protect and enhance the countryside.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the charity's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and good practice
- Work closely with the Chair and Trustees to oversee the financial development of the charity
- Prepare financial reports and submit accounts for independent audit
- Update National CPRE on charity finances
- Assist with funding applications and accounting for external funding
- Ensure employment regulations are met, where relevant
- Be a positive advocate for CPRE and encourage others to support our work
- Safeguard the good name and values of our charity
- A commitment to CPRE policies, brand, campaigns, and initiatives
- Ability to keep accurate records and confidence in handling finances
- Experience of setting and managing budgets
- Experience in financial software and spreadsheets
- Experience of forward planning income and expenditure
- Ability to provide financial updates and present information in an understandable way
- Access to a computer and the internet at home
- Commitment to volunteering regularly, including attendance at meetings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Contribute to the success of our charity and make a positive difference to the countryside
