About the Position:

We invite you to become a part of QinetiQ as a Munitions Operations Supervisor, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the management of Ordinance, Munitions, and Explosive Estates Licences. Your primary focus will be to ensure the secure storage, handling, and transportation of Explosive Substances and Articles, alongside executing various trials pertinent to the OME project.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform safety evaluations and inspections on explosives facilities
  • Oversee explosives safety within your assigned jurisdiction
  • Lead your team by delegating tasks and reviewing completed work
  • Administer equipment within an explosives operational environment

Essential Qualifications:

  • Robust technical expertise in OME
  • Thorough understanding of ER14/DSA 03 and established safety protocols
  • Proficient in managing Licensed Explosives Facilities
  • Proven track record in explosives-related initiatives

Preferred Credentials:

  • Acquainted with Explosives Storage and Transport Committee (ESTC) leaflet 6
  • Possession of an ADR Licence is advantageous
