About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Business Development Underwriter to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for underwriting profitable business while operating within agreed guidelines and authority levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and build relationships with aligned customers and brokers, providing technical support and assistance.
- Use a network of relevant stakeholders to deliver the widest proposition appropriate to the customer.
- Work independently, within underwriting authority, conferring where appropriate on more technical and complex risks.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of insurance product features and processes.
- Knowledge of underwriting – Property & Liability.
- Good planning, prioritisation, and organisation skills.
- Excellent communication, listening, time management, and negotiating skills.
- Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
