Lead Civil Engineer, Drainage Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Civil Engineer, Drainage to join our Newcastle Drainage Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of drainage design on major Transport/Land/Water infrastructure projects across NSW/ACT.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of drainage design on major projects, ensuring technical excellence and efficiency.
- Optimize design workflows to drive a coordinated and efficient digital delivery approach.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address technical queries and drive an optimum engineering solution.
- Provide mentoring and training to junior engineers, promoting technical skills and teamwork culture.
- Act as a leader that adds to the diversity of thought, skills, and experience of the group.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Hands-on and well-developed skills in 12D, DRAINS, and MUSIC.
- Deep hydrology and hydraulic technical knowledge.
- Technical excellence in delivery and well-honed experience in WSUD.
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills.
- A can-do attitude and strong team player skills.
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering and Chartered member of Engineers Australia or close to being eligible to apply for chartership.
