Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Underwriter to join our team at Lawes Consulting Group. As a Commercial Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting specialist commercial lines, including property, liability, and financial lines, on a new and existing business basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite commercial products in line with underwriting standards and guidelines.
- Work towards set targets each month, including profitability, conversion, and productivity.
- Develop your sales skills and underwriting strategy in collaboration with the wider teams.
- Effectively negotiate with brokers and key stakeholders to secure new business opportunities.
- Underwrite larger, more complex risks that come through the branch, utilizing your analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
- Experience as an underwriter within commercial lines of business.
- A logical and analytical thinker with strong development skills.
- Ambitious and driven, with the ability to self-motivate and achieve results.
- Diploma CII qualified or exempt through relevant experience as defined by the FCA.
