Chester Zoo is seeking enthusiastic and motivated young people to join our Youth Board, a group of dedicated individuals who share our passion for conservation and making a positive impact on the lives of young people.

As a Youth Board member, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of Chester Zoo's programs and initiatives for young people, aged 12-25, and help shape the future of conservation.

We are looking for young people with a wide range of interests and skills, who are passionate about working with others to make a difference. If you are enthusiastic, motivated, and willing to learn, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend and contribute to 6 Youth Board meetings each year
  • Participate in additional committee, working group, and project meetings as required
  • Support the development of Chester Zoo's programs for young people
  • Act as ambassadors for Chester Zoo and its youth programs
  • Maintain confidentiality and act in the best interests of the charity

Selection Criteria:
  • Be aged 18-26 years old
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Be enthusiastic about working with others to make a difference
  • Have a genuine interest in conservation and making a positive impact on the lives of young people
  • Be able to travel easily to Chester Zoo to attend events and meetings

We are particularly keen to encourage interest from young people who have experience or interest in zoology, conservation, marketing, public speaking, education, or hospitality.
