About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Alexander Steele. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general maintenance for all production-related equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) are completed on time, as part of your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) targets.
  • Manage size changes and ensure they are completed in a satisfactory time period.
  • Action maintenance associated with the provision of equipment, including electrical fault finding and repair.
  • Manage contractors associated with maintenance and repairs of all equipment, ensuring compliance with company health and safety policy.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality policy and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) with specific regard to the management of contractors.
  • Perform statutory and regulatory checks on production equipment, as per service agreements and schedules.
  • Provide front-line engineering support to manufacturing operations, following company rules on health and safety, quality, and engineering procedures.
  • Complete stores requisitions for parts and services.
  • Continuously monitor plant conditions and report defects.
  • Maintain a detailed log of all work carried out on plant using company systems.
Requirements
  • Experience in FMCG industry.
  • Working knowledge of single-phase and three-phase systems.
  • Competent in electrical fault finding in panels, 3-phase motors, inverters, and relays.
  • Basic fault-finding knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Good mechanical skills, including knowledge of pneumatics, bearings, and gearboxes.
