Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Graduate or an individual with up to two years of experience to join our team. This role is integral to the management and execution of projects, working closely with our experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting Phase I assessments related to contaminated land, mining/geology, and ground engineering desk studies.
  • Serving as a Site Engineer or in a supportive capacity, overseeing various ground investigation, remediation, and construction quality assurance activities on projects that may require travel.
  • Designing, specifying, and supervising in-situ testing and sampling in line with UK standards and technical specifications.
  • Monitoring site operations, including the logging of soil and rock in accordance with current UK regulations.
  • Ensuring the supervision and validation of construction activities.
  • Preparing interpretative reports focusing on geo-environmental and geotechnical aspects.
  • Collaborating with clients, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assisting in the preparation and administration of contract documentation, including financial oversight.

Additional Responsibilities:

Depending on your background, you may also engage in mineral/geological interpretation, legacy mining assessments, waste evaluations, geotechnical design and analysis (such as slope stability and retaining walls), or hydrogeological fieldwork.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a BSc in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Geology, or a related field. An MSc or relevant industry experience is highly desirable. A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential, along with strong report writing capabilities.
