Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Controller to join our team at Renault UK. As a key member of our service operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of vehicle repairs and maintenance services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of technicians to deliver high-quality vehicle repairs and maintenance services.
  • Develop and implement effective processes and procedures to improve service delivery and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the service manager and advisors to discuss progress and ensure seamless communication with customers.
  • Conduct thorough examinations of vehicles to identify defects and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Undertake electronic vehicle health checks and road testing to diagnose and test repairs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that customers are kept informed of the progress of their vehicle repairs.
  • Work closely with the service team to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards and that customers are satisfied with the service they receive.
Requirements
  • Franchise dealership experience with a relevant formal qualification (IMI/City & Guilds).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information to colleagues and customers.
  • Passionate about the automotive industry and committed to ongoing professional development.
  • Customer-focused and able to prioritize customer satisfaction and safety.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure.
  • Thorough and able to work with defined processes and guidelines.
  • Quality-focused with a first-time fix mentality.
