Nursery Preschool Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional leader to manage our 45-place nursery preschool, catering for children aged 1-5 years old.

Our nursery is nestled in a rural location, offering daily outdoor play opportunities in the fresh air. We believe in making the most of our surroundings, ensuring children have fun while learning about the environment and making greener choices.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a hands-on management style, experience in managing Ofsted Inspections, and a deep understanding of the EYFS curriculum. They will be an inspirational team leader, with a passion for delivering high-quality childcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily running and administration of the nursery/preschool
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with parents
  • Recruit, induct, and supervise staff, conducting regular assessments and identifying training needs
  • Organise regular staff meetings and training sessions
  • Work with the EYFS Curriculum to deliver high-quality care and supervision
  • Ensure developmental records and observations are kept
  • Ensure staff adhere to and understand all nursery policies and procedures
Additional Responsibilities
  • Manage administration and finance, including budgets, staffing, payroll, banking, and petty cash
  • Issue invoices and collect fees, meeting agreed targets
  • Maintain staff ratios and monitor accident, incident, and risk assessment records
  • Ensure the nursery is running at full capacity by effectively managing enquiries, conducting show-rounds, and operating a waiting list
