We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Practitioner to join our team at Dalton Terrace Surgery. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients, working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver High-Quality Medical Care: Provide excellent clinical care to our patients, adhering to the GMS contract and GMC standards for good medical practice.
- Manage Long-Term Conditions: Effectively manage patients with long-term conditions, ensuring timely and appropriate care.
- Generic Prescribing: Prescribe medications in accordance with local and national guidance.
- Administrative Tasks: Process referrals, repeat prescription requests, and other administrative tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Triage and Duty Doctor Roles: Participate in telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis.
- Clinical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to good practice, policy, and guidance.
- Collaborative Working: Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, accepting an equal share of the practice workload.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.
- Quality and Governance: Ensure compliance with clinical governance and appraisal processes.
- Revalidation: Prepare and complete the revalidation process.
- Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: Promote a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring all individuals can achieve their full potential.
- Safety, Health, Environment, and Fire (SHEF): Manage and assess risk within the practice, ensuring adequate measures are in place to protect staff and patients.
