Role Description:

We anticipate exciting opportunities in the near future for skilled professionals within the Creative and Digital department. While specific details regarding working hours are yet to be finalized, we encourage interested candidates to express their interest now.

The Creative and Digital department encompasses a diverse range of vocational programs in Art and Design, Media, Performing Arts, and Esports. The Art and Design area boasts specialized facilities, including dye rooms, sewing rooms, workshops, and computer labs.

As a Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing essential support to staff and students by preparing materials, managing equipment, and assisting in lessons.
  • Maintaining and storing tools, equipment, and consumables, ensuring they are readily available and safe for use.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and operation of facilities, adhering to strict Health and Safety regulations.
  • Assisting with minor maintenance tasks and arranging servicing for more complex repairs.
  • Delivering training and support on equipment usage, with opportunities for further specialized training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage and maintain the designated area, including meticulous preparation and cleanup of materials.
  • Provide individualized and group support to students, supervise studio time, and deliver practical demonstrations.
  • Set up, maintain, and monitor specialized equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Contribute to the creation of teaching materials and resources, and manage the storage and distribution of equipment.
  • Participate in events, displays, and exhibitions, and ensure regular updates to wall and corridor displays.
  • Uphold company policies, maintain a safe working environment, and actively engage in ongoing staff development and training.
