Job Title: Cloud DevOps Architect

Location: Remote or Hybrid

Salary: £90,000 - £95,000 plus benefits

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Architect to join our team at 83zero. As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering DevOps advisory services that enable the adoption, acceleration, and innovation on the cloud for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and implement DevOps capabilities to deliver innovation, agility, cost benefits, and time-to-market promises.
  • Develop and implement a holistic approach to modernize the developer experience, including organization and culture, DevOps practices and process, tooling and automation, and architecture and design.
  • Leverage and maximize clients' existing investments in ITSM tools and frameworks.
  • Develop roadmaps and transient states to improve DevOps practices maturity and unlock maximum value by adopting NextGen technologies like Generative AI and Platform Product Management.
Requirements
  • Experience in transformation through technology and optimizing client operations.
  • Proven skills and experience in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, DevOps, CI/CD, and SRE.
  • Implementation of DevSecOps models, tooling, business change, and processes.
  • Experience in DevX, assessment of current development environments, and implementing solutions for efficient, effective, and secure software development.
  • Lean process design and use of lean techniques like Value Stream Mapping to identify and remove waste.
  • Consulting/coaching experience in implementing new ways of working and enabling agile delivery transformation.
  • Enabling continuous delivery while ensuring reliability, quality, observability, and performance.
  • Understanding of build and deployment pipelines, test-driven development, automated testing, test data management, automated environment provisioning, version control, monitoring, and alerting, and DevOps enablers.
  • Observability and monitoring platform experience, with collaboration with developers to implement and improve observability and monitoring practices.
  • Leveraging DORA framework to improve DevOps team performance.
  • Defining OKRs/KPIs, setting up processes to measure, track, and take corrective actions to drive speed, productivity, and quality improvements.
  • Security and governance models for cloud engineering and operations.
  • Driving IT and business automation across product management, engineering, and operations.
  • Client-facing role with consulting or advisory experience.
