Job Description

LA International is seeking a highly skilled Storage Administrator to join our team. As a Storage Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our storage infrastructure, including SAN environment and backup environment. You will also be responsible for performing daily checks, storage allocation and deallocation, SAN switch zoning, firmware upgrades, managing backups, tape management and rotation, maintaining documentation, producing management reports, implementing changes according to client change management process, problem management and resolution using SNOW, and disaster recovery testing.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and maintain the SAN environment, including HP and EMC Storage, Brocade and Cisco SAN switches, and storage management software.
  2. Perform daily checks and ensure the smooth operation of the storage infrastructure.
  3. Manage and allocate storage resources, including storage allocation and deallocation.
  4. Configure and manage SAN switches, including Brocade and Cisco SAN switches.
  5. Perform firmware upgrades and ensure the latest software versions are installed.
  6. Manage backups, including end-to-end configuration and rerunning failed backups.
  7. Manage tape storage, including tape management and rotation.
  8. Maintain accurate documentation of storage infrastructure and processes.
  9. Produce management reports to ensure the storage infrastructure is running efficiently.
  10. Implement changes according to client change management process.
  11. Resolve problems using SNOW incident and change management.
  12. Participate in disaster recovery testing to ensure business continuity.
Requirements
  1. Strong knowledge of HP and EMC Storage, Brocade and Cisco SAN switches, and storage management software.
  2. Excellent problem-solving skills and methodical approach to working.
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to recognize and raise issues with line management.
  6. Active listener and team player.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
