Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee quality assurance processes across the entire operation, ensuring safety, quality, and integrity are maintained throughout.
- Manage customer expectations effectively while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Utilize a minimum of 5 years' experience in Fresh Produce Technical or Quality roles, with a strong understanding of Microsoft D365 and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a hands-on approach.
Quality Management Duties:
- Administer ripening processes, monitor performance against established quality and technical KPIs, and formulate improvement strategies.
- Oversee shelf life assessments and benchmarking activities, analyze results, and implement necessary actions.
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Manager, Quality team, and Production team to address customer quality performance and initiate corrective actions.
- Work in partnership with the Production team to enhance production quality management processes and optimize packhouse grading efficiencies.
- Engage with Supply Chain, Sales, and Sourcing teams to comprehend stakeholder requirements, maximize stock utilization, and take appropriate actions.
- Make informed decisions regarding quality to optimize product returns through effective stock rotation, usage, and waste management.
- Monitor quality performance at the grower level, identify trends, and propose improvement initiatives.
- Assist with microbiological and pesticide residue testing protocols to ensure product safety and compliance with legal standards.
- Implement and integrate a Safety Management System into the local safety framework.
