We are seeking a Class 2 HGV Operator to become a vital member of our team at our Gateshead facility. The vehicles you will operate include 4-axle 32t rigid trucks, specifically designed as POD, Auger Tipper, and Mixer trucks, all equipped with automatic transmissions.

What is the role about?
You will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, responsible for delivering mortar to construction sites in the surrounding area. A positive 'can do' attitude and exceptional customer service skills are essential. You will be tasked with the operation of both multi-compartment Pod and Mixer vehicles, which you are expected to maintain and clean on a daily basis. As the representative of Marshalls Mortars and Screeds, your professionalism is paramount.

Customer satisfaction is at the core of your responsibilities, and we expect you to remain composed and professional when faced with challenges. Adherence to high health and safety standards is crucial, as is compliance with specific customer requirements. Punctuality and the ability to rise early are necessary to ensure timely deliveries.

You must be flexible with working hours during the day and available to work alternate Saturdays due to ongoing growth and industry demands (Overtime is compensated on Saturdays).

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 2 HGV license with no restrictions and a maximum of 3 points on the driving record
  • Current Drivers CPC certification
  • Experience operating Mixer or Pod trucks is beneficial, though comprehensive training will be provided
  • Strong English communication and writing skills
