We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV driver to join our team at ASD. As a Class 1 or 2 HGV driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to and from our site.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out driving and related duties involved with the carriage of goods, ensuring safe and efficient transportation in compliance with road traffic regulations.
- Oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises, ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed and returned without delay.
- Check the load security and weight distribution according to latest safe working practices before setting out and after each drop.
- As required, and appropriately trained, work mobile equipment to load and/or unload vehicles.
- Follow best practices for fuel-efficient driving.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance our operations.
- Actively take responsibility for keeping vehicles clean and tidy.
- Identify potential health and safety hazards in the workplace and ensure vehicles are in safe condition.
- Accurately update documentation relating to the carriage of products.
- Full DCPC
- Experience working in a flexible, results-oriented team environment
- Ability to read written instructions and record work accurately
- Understanding and experience of EHS requirements in a warehouse or distribution environment
