Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Building Surveyor to enhance our esteemed Asset Management division located in a vibrant urban area. This division is dedicated to providing expert technical advice, thorough due diligence, and comprehensive building surveying services to a wide range of clients.

Position Summary: In the role of Senior Building Surveyor, you will engage with diverse sectors such as healthcare facilities, hospitality venues, educational institutions, and residential projects. You will be part of a compact yet highly proficient team, focusing primarily on project-based work while also contributing to professional services as needed.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects across public infrastructure, hospitality, commercial, heritage, and residential domains.
  • Proficient in conducting surveys, designing and estimating remedial works, procurement processes, contract guidance, administration, quality assurance, completion certification, and defect resolution.
  • Capable of delivering technical guidance that leads to successful construction initiatives, overseeing them from contractual, commercial, and technical perspectives on-site.
  • Extensive experience in handling large-scale contracts exceeding £10 million.
  • Expertise in Commission Management, including financial forecasting, invoicing, and managing subcontractors.
  • Support PFI experts in overseeing operational public properties and assist in the development and evaluation of Life Cycle Plans.

Candidate Profile:

  • Able to operate autonomously or collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Experienced Building Surveyor with robust Project and Contract Management capabilities.
  • Preferably MRICS qualified or actively pursuing chartered status, with a commitment to mentoring others in their professional growth.
  • Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and report writing abilities.
  • Proactive demeanor, confident in client presentations and advisory roles.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary up to £65,000.
