About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Windsor Forest Colleges Group. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing educational and mentoring support to students with learning difficulties and disabilities.

You will work closely with the ALFIE Head of Department, specialist tutors, and vocational lecturing staff to create an outstanding learning experience for these students. Your responsibilities will include providing support both inside and outside the classroom, assisting with administrative tasks, offering personal care and hygiene support, and facilitating the use of specialist equipment and resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide educational and mentoring support to students with learning difficulties and disabilities
  • Work closely with the ALFIE Head of Department, specialist tutors, and vocational lecturing staff
  • Support students inside and outside the classroom
  • Assist with administrative tasks
  • Offer personal care and hygiene support
  • Facilitate the use of specialist equipment and resources
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to the academic and personal development of students with additional needs. You will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and Barred List check along with other legally required checks which are an essential part of the safeguarding process.
