Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated clinical pharmacist or pharmacy technician to oversee a dynamic patient care pharmacy division within our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the provision of pharmaceutical care for both inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Support the dispensary following the implementation of advanced robotic dispensing and pharmacy collection systems.
  • Facilitate the training and development of both permanent and rotating staff, including mentoring and educational support.
  • Assist the lead clinical pharmacist in the implementation of patient-centered consultations.

The ideal candidate will be a GPhC registered pharmacist or pharmacy technician with a diploma in General Pharmacy Practice or an equivalent qualification, coupled with extensive hospital experience. Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative spirit are essential, as is a friendly, approachable demeanor. Candidates should be adaptable, eager to learn new skills, and committed to ongoing professional development.

This is a full-time role. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in on-call duties, weekend shifts, bank holidays, and late-night rotations.

Department Overview:

The Pharmacy Department provides a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical services across our facilities, including inpatient and outpatient care, a highly regarded clinical pharmacy service supported by specialized pharmacists, and a well-equipped Medicines Information center integrated with the Regional Medicines Information Centre. Additionally, we operate a licensed 'specials' manufacturing unit that complements our services.
