About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key role in providing clinical leadership and expertise to our Home Treatment Teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical line management to 4wte clinical/counselling psychologists
  • Work closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager for BSMHFT's Home Treatment Teams
  • Provide clinical input to one HTT, including comprehensive psychological assessments and formulations
  • Provide clinical support and guidance to multidisciplinary teams via consultancy, formulation development, and staff supervision
  • Supervise trainees from the Birmingham and Coventry/Warwick doctorate courses
  • Manage and clinically supervise Honorary Psychology Assistants
Requirements
  • Registered with the HCPC
  • Eligibility for entry onto the Register of Chartered Psychologists
  • Satisfactory completion of a British Psychological Society accredited Doctoral Level postgraduate professional training course in clinical psychology
  • Experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist post qualification, with extensive experience at the Senior (Band 8a) level
  • Experience of highly specialist psychological assessment and individual and group based treatment of clients across the full range of care settings
  • Experience of teaching, training, and/or supervision
