Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our R&D function in Stockport. This role involves designing and developing electronics hardware, collaborating with a team of engineers, and working closely with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing product functional requirements and expanding them into detailed product requirement architecture definitions.
  • Designing and developing electronics hardware, including simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, and BOM generation.
  • Prototype functional testing and verification.
  • Enhancing and supporting existing products.
  • Working closely with stakeholders and other engineers.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers as required.
  • Mentoring and leading less experienced engineers.
  • Complying with company ISO membership requirements.
  • Producing hardware technical documentation and document control of electronics drawings and BOMs.
Requirements
  • A degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven post-graduate industrial experience in a related area.
  • A good understanding of analogue, digital, and embedded electronics.
  • Proficiency in schematic entry and PCB layout.
  • Good hands-on electronics experience, including soldering skills and use of regular electronics lab equipment.
  • Good organizational and analytical skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good team player with ability to work independently.
