We are seeking a Night Support Assistant to join our team at Vaughan House in Guildford. As a Night Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding service to our customers, who may have complex needs, mental health needs, and a history of substance misuse.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the planning and delivery of personalized support and move-on plans for customers
- Understand the risk management process and assist the team in organizing and undertaking regular reviews of support and risk
- Inspire and motivate customers to meet agreed outcomes and develop life skills
- Assist customers with day-to-day support and tenancy-related matters
- Assist the team in identifying and promoting opportunities for employment, education, and training, and support customers to access them
- Signpost customers to appropriate external support services, such as food banks and other community resources
- Support customers to be 'tenancy ready,' enabling successful move-on
- Support customers to be financially independent through budgeting plans and maximizing income
- Support and monitor customers' healthcare needs, ensuring appropriate contact with healthcare professionals
- Empower customers to move towards self-management of their medication by following Riverside's medication procedure
- Maintain and update clear, accurate, and strengths-based records on the appropriate digital platform
- Assist in the promotion of customer involvement and consultation
- Assist with the delivery of a range of group work sessions
- An understanding of the barriers faced by vulnerable and diverse customer groups and individuals with complex needs
- Experience of working in a team and communicating positively with other people
- Experience of being able to organize tasks and plan accordingly while dealing with people
- A team player with a caring, empathetic, flexible, and resilient, can-do attitude
- Able to use initiative and have confidence to make decisions
- Basic administrative and IT skills to maintain records
