Associate Security Consultant

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Associate Security Consultant to join our Global Information Security team in the United Kingdom. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving improvements in the end-to-end product/system lifecycle, spanning the whole SDLC and post-launch operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement security in the software development lifecycle, ensuring the highest standards of security are met.
- Work with security champions to develop a strong security culture and capability, promoting a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams to ensure seamless security integration and compliance.
- Support the development of secure software development lifecycle processes and procedures.
- Act as the main point of contact on security issues for Product Delivery and EAD teams, providing expert guidance and support.
- Assess new and existing products, applications, or systems to identify security weaknesses and create improvement plans.
- Support security compliance as it relates to assigned products, ensuring adherence to Sage policies, standards, and processes.
- Maintain awareness of the changing threat landscape by participating in relevant security groups, forums, or conferences.
Requirements:
- Experience of implementing security in the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with secure development tools/activities such as SAST, DAST, vulnerability management, threat modelling.
- Proficiency in English – written and verbal.
- Experience of working with geographically dispersed teams.
- Experience working in an agile, DevOps/DevSecOps environment.
- Some proficiency in coding or scripting.
- Experience in implementing security in public cloud-based online products.
- Experience of formal compliance frameworks.
