The Opportunity: Field Service Forklift Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Forklift Engineer to join our team at Briggs Equipment Ltd. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of industrial, agricultural, and warehousing trucks and ancillary equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake the repair and maintenance of industrial, agricultural, and warehousing trucks and ancillary equipment to ensure maximum profitability and return.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis to identify reported breakdowns and ensure all damage and faults are highlighted to customers and recorded accurately on appropriate documentation.
  • Provide a professional, efficient, and responsive service support to customers by maintaining and repairing materials handling equipment to the highest standard while observing Health and Safety regulations at all times.
  • Accurately complete all paperwork required within the role, including servicing sheets, breakdown reports, accident reports, timesheets, and quotes.
  • Work closely with the sales team to inform them of any potential leads and participate in site surveys and site meetings as and when required.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Field Service Engineer.
  • Proficiency in reading both electrical and IC truck wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to strip and reassemble a hydraulic valve bank, cylinder, and gear pumps.
  • Ability to interpret test information for main, forward/reverse clutch, torque converter pressure, and carry out a full stall test.
