Awareness of solution feasibility and engineering factors related to buildability. Drive continuous improvement of tools, procedures, and processes to enhance efficiency and innovation. Ensure quality outputs and compliance with standards, specifications, and governance requirements. Responsible for reporting on commercial performance, forecasting, and risk management. Preparation of bids and proposals. Occasional travel to client locations or other RPS/Tetra Tech offices may be necessary. Lead a team to establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with clients. Line management of project team members, providing day-to-day leadership, workload planning, technical direction, and support, while driving staff performance and career development. Foster relationships and collaboration with other RPS/Tetra Tech disciplines.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

Familiarity with relevant legislation and water industry regulations. Technical leadership in wastewater catchment planning, industry regulations, and legislation. Ability to manage (or assist project managers in managing) projects of varying sizes and complexities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Capability to coordinate and manage staff at all levels, including mentoring less experienced colleagues, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Expertise in using InfoWorks ICM and ICM Exchange. Extensive knowledge in hydraulic modelling, catchment planning, and related wastewater infrastructure, ensuring compliance with client standards and specifications. Proficiency in MS 365 applications, with knowledge in advanced Excel, PowerBI, and SharePoint. Working knowledge of GIS Systems (MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS). Experience with FME, Optimatics, Python (or similar) is advantageous.

Qualifications:

Ideally degree-qualified in a relevant technical field; postgraduate qualifications are a plus. Chartered or working towards chartership for Senior or Principal grades. Affiliation with a professional institution such as IET, InstMC, or CIWEM, or in the process of working towards membership.
