About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join our team at Humber Cranes Ltd. As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, service, repair, and maintenance of overhead cranes, lifting and plant equipment, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, service, repair, and maintain overhead cranes, lifting and plant equipment
  • Conduct surveys on equipment and mechanical systems to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Produce technical documents, including data logs, in line with company and customer requirements
  • Accurately account for engineering hours required for customer projects
  • Make and influence decisions regarding maintenance schedules to maximize uptime, throughput, quality, and optimize expenditure
  • Prepare and implement proposals for modification requests relating to reliability and mechanical integrity

Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification (including apprenticeship-trained mechanical engineering)
  • Full, clean UK driving license
  • Previous experience working as a Mechanical Engineer or similar role
  • 2 years' experience working within the crane and lifting equipment industry and/or electrical industry
  • 5 years' experience working within mechanical engineering, with a relevant mechanical engineering background
  • Experience working with gearboxes, drives, and steelwork installation
