Job Title: Java Developer Trading

At Vertus Partners, we are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our team in London. As a Java Developer, you will play a key role in developing business logic and technical implementation of cutting-edge trading ideas received directly from our Quant teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality Java code for our trading systems
  • Collaborate with our Quant teams to implement trading ideas and strategies
  • Work closely with our business stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs
  • Develop and maintain automated testing platforms and monitor algo performance

Requirements:

  • Expert-level knowledge of Core Java
  • Experience working on Market Making, SOR (Smart Order Routers), or FIX Connectivity
  • Proven experience working within Algo Trading from previous projects
  • Strong advocate of TDD/BDD practices
  • Previous experience working on distributed systems
  • Excellent communication skills to work closely with our business stakeholders
  • Interest in learning new tools, techniques, and languages
  • Experience within Equities Algo Trading is highly beneficial
