Sphere Solutions is looking for a skilled Mechanical Supervisor with extensive plumbing expertise to manage a short-term project. This role is essential for ensuring that the plumbing operations are executed efficiently and effectively.

This position is a contract role lasting 5 weeks, offering a competitive daily rate of up to £310.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee and direct the plumbing team to guarantee the successful execution of the project.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations for all plumbing activities.
  • Track project progress and provide consistent updates to management.
  • Perform inspections to uphold quality and safety standards.
  • Address and resolve any challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project timelines, ensuring all tasks are completed promptly.
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors for seamless plumbing system integration.
  • Enforce health and safety protocols among team members, ensuring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or in a similar capacity, particularly in plumbing.
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, plumbing, or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Must possess Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) certification.

Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS card or equivalent.
  • Relevant trade certifications.
  • Prior experience managing plumbing projects.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
