About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer with a Mechanical focus to join our team at Bournville Manufacturing, the home of the UK's most iconic confectionary brand, Cadbury's.

As a Process Engineer, you will work closely with line operators and technicians to eliminate losses and drive improvement in reliability and stability of line operations and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solve technical problems of high scope, complexity, and ambiguity
  • Identify problems in existing products or processes and propose solutions
  • Work with the Engineering Manager to determine training and talent development needs
  • Take responsibility for implementation by leading and coaching line teams
  • Drive process reliability and stability by solving chronic problems on the line
  • Understand process variability on line and define systems to eliminate them
  • Define critical process parameters and centre-lines; track and ensure adherence
  • Give technical confirmation to any request or project proposal that affects the process or equipment
  • Process data gathering and issues analysis
  • Implement and maintain systems to collect, collate and analyse data on key process parameters
  • Identify and prioritise process capability issues for performance or cost
  • Use FI systems to build capability of operators and technicians
  • Develop and deliver training and skills improvements

Requirements

  • Proven track record within Manufacturing within the Consumer Goods or Food industry or wider manufacturing industry
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Excellent numeracy skills with a proven track record in providing project documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Educated to degree or equivalent level in an Engineering
