Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CFD Analysis Engineer to join our team and lead CFD analysis activities for our power generation projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in CFD analysis, combustion engineering, and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead CFD analysis activities for power generation projects, including developing new combustion equipment and retrofit designs.
  • Collaborate with the general engineering team to resolve combustion issues and develop solutions to meet emissions regulations.
  • Conduct fluid flow analysis using CFD software and present results and recommendations to customers and internal project teams.
  • Develop and maintain CFD analysis capabilities and mentor junior engineers.
  • Represent the analysis function in multi-discipline engineering projects.
  • Work with the test team to develop and execute design verification plans and testing methods.
  • Attend design reviews, layouts, HAZOPs, and 3D model reviews for mechanical designs.
Requirements
  • A good degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical engineering discipline with minimum 10 years of experience as a CFD Engineer, 7 of which is in an industrial environment.
  • Relevant experience of applying CFD analysis techniques in an appropriate engineering environment.
  • Good knowledge of CFD modelling techniques applied to gas, oil, and solid fuel combustion and emissions regulations.
  • Expert level of computer literacy in Windows and Linux environments, including High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters.
  • Demonstrable ability of time and resource management to meet project delivery targets.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office and applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of general engineering fundamentals, together with demonstrable numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Programming Languages (FORTRAN, C, VB, or Python).
  • Understanding of plant thermal performance and approaches to root cause analysis.
  • Capable of progressing tasks autonomously with a minimum of supervision.
  • Good command of verbal and written English language preparing technical presentations and reports.
