We present a remarkable opportunity for a proactive, strategic, and engaging professional to become a vital member of our team as a Lead Cost Consultant. In this role, you will play a key part in our commercial operations.

Your strong analytical capabilities will be essential, as you will need to demonstrate a history of making informed decisions based on both experience and data insights. Success in this position hinges on your keen attention to detail and effective prioritization abilities.

Here are some of the responsibilities you will undertake:

  • Overseeing subcontractors and managing financial accounts
  • Assisting the Commercial Manager and supervising the commercial team
  • Resolving client disputes and performing internal audits
  • Maintaining the commercial risk management register
  • Ensuring the precision of measurements during regular valuations
  • Conducting cost assessments and executing cost-saving strategies
  • Reviewing contracts and evaluating pricing structures
  • Producing detailed Cost Value Reports (CVRs) for all projects

We are keen to hear from candidates who:

  • Have extensive experience as a Lead Cost Consultant, showcasing a high level of commercial insight and problem-solving abilities, along with a proven history of preparing complex subcontract orders, including effective risk management and support for operational teams.
  • Demonstrate exceptional commercial acumen and communication skills, providing strong leadership to internal stakeholders and nurturing client relationships, while showing a genuine interest in developing their team members.
  • Possess inspiring, influential, and engaging communication skills, with a track record of effectively conveying key messages, and problem-solving capabilities, complemented by advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Hold a degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or possess significant experience in a comparable role.
