Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Protection Insurance Underwriter to join our Underwriting Team at Set2Recruit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing medical evidence, substandard cases, financial underwriting, and approving new business within an agreed authority level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess medical evidence to determine the suitability of applicants for protection insurance products
  • Manage substandard cases, including those with complex medical histories
  • Conduct financial underwriting to determine the affordability of protection insurance products for applicants
  • Approve new business within an agreed authority level, ensuring that all necessary checks and due diligence are completed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in individual underwriting, with a focus on protection insurance products
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex medical evidence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
