Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at The Eikon Charity. As an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting LGBTQ+ children and young people in achieving their emotional wellbeing goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivering Services: You will work with children and young people to assess their needs and strengths, and help them identify individual goals to achieve desired change.
- Using Creative Approaches: You will use creative, engaging approaches and research-based methods to meet the emotional wellbeing needs of LGBTQ+ children and young people.
- Planning and Implementing Risk Assessments: You will plan and implement risk assessments for 1-1 and group-based activities.
- Caseload Management: You will take responsibility for your own caseload of LGBTQ+ children and young people and their families, some with complex and multiple needs.
- Co-production: You will involve children and young people and their families in the co-production of programmes, activities, and services.
- Engagement and Motivation: You will engage with LGBTQ+ children and young people in 1-1, face-to-face, and virtual group sessions to motivate, inspire, and encourage potential.
- Support and Guidance: You will support the planning and delivery of LGBTQ+ sessions, ensuring continued support is given to children and young people.
- Partnership Working: You will work in partnership with other professionals and organisations involved with LGBTQ+ children and young people to ensure best outcomes.
- Professional Boundaries: You will establish appropriate professional boundaries in relationships with children and young people and their families.
- Time-Limited Sessions: You will provide time-limited 1:1 sessions for children and young people who identify as LGBTQ+ and their families.
- Referral and Signposting: You will communicate with new referrals and signpost children and young people to relevant support services where needed.
- Safeguarding: You will apply safeguarding and child protection procedures and escalate where necessary.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: You will use goal-based outcomes and additional monitoring and evaluation tools to monitor the effectiveness and impact of support for children and young people accessing the service.
- Record Keeping: You will keep accurate records of individual engagement, evidence of change, and celebrate progress with children and young people.
- Data Reporting: You will provide, record, and report the appropriate data to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated.
- Project Development: You will support the LGBTQ+ team to monitor, evaluate, and develop the project and programmes to meet contractual requirements.
- Case Studies: You will provide written case studies as evidence of the effectiveness of individual interventions.
- Professional Development: You will keep up to date with good practice, legislation, and policies that impact service delivery.
- Team Working: You will work as part of a team to lead and inspire collaboration across the organisation.
- Training and Supervision: You will attend and participate in team meetings and any professional training as may be identified.
- Service Development: You will assist with the development and progression of the service by adhering to all communication requests.
- Line Management: You will attend and actively participate in regular line management supervision, case reviews, and clinical supervision as discussed and agreed between yourself and your line manager.
- Additional Tasks: You will support other members of the LGBTQ+ projects team with additional tasks relevant to the delivery and development of the project.
- Health and Safety: You will work within Eikon's internal policies, safeguarding, and data protection regulations.
- Equipment and Resources: You will be responsible for equipment and resources linked to service delivery.
- Health and Safety: You will promote, monitor, and maintain health, safety, and security in the working environment.
