SEN HLTA Job Description

We are seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support students with Autism in our Oxfordshire-based independent Secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Deputy Head for Teaching and the Vice Principal to deliver small group sessions in PSHE topics.
  • Support students with Autism in their educational journey, utilizing horticultural processes as a learning tool.
  • Utilize knowledge of Special Educational Needs to create engaging and effective learning experiences.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a HLTA or similar role.
  • Knowledge of Special Educational Needs, particularly children with Autism.
  • Ability to deliver small group sessions in PSHE topics.

Working Hours:

Monday – Friday, 08:30am – 4:00pm
