Overview
The Telecommunications Cable Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of both new and existing Core Telecommunications Access Networks, focusing on copper cable pulling, jointing, and testing. This role involves significant cable pulling, which may require the use of assistive equipment or manual labor, as well as identifying cables and components that require attention in various settings and environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize telecommunications installation and testing equipment to install Fibre, Copper, and CATV cables according to client specifications.
  • Maintain internal databases to accurately record actions and daily activities.
  • Represent Comex 2000 UK Ltd in a professional and courteous manner while engaging with service providers, end users, members of the public, and colleagues.
  • Adhere to quality standards set forth by the company, with documentation provided during audits.
  • Document changes and updates resulting from work performed, ensuring that the company is informed of task completions.
  • Work safely in compliance with relevant regulations, such as the National Roads & Street Works Act.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment used meet recognized safety standards, including but not limited to testing devices.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in teamwork and collaboration.
  • Proficient in prioritizing, organizing, and managing tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to learn about key aspects of telecommunications infrastructure.

  • Proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Possession of a Full Clean Valid UK Driving License for at least one year.
