Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Young Heritage Producers Coordinator to join our team at Hachette UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering our Young Heritage Producers project, which aims to promote arts and culture among young people.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Manage and deliver the Young Heritage Producers project, including recruiting participants, coordinating workshops, and producing public events.
- Community Engagement: Promote the project to young people through local estates, schools, youth groups, and community organizations.
- Workshop Delivery: Plan and deliver exciting heritage workshops to young people on a weekly basis.
- Volunteer Management: Recruit and support volunteers in the project.
- Event Production: Support the young producers in devising and producing 3 public events responding to the heritage of Hachette UK.
- Safeguarding: Ensure that the focus within the workshops, performance, and project is on the outcomes for young people, and that safeguarding is at the core of all activities.
- Administration: Be responsible for the weekly administration of the project, including registers, registration forms, session reports, and general enquiries.
- Budget Management: Manage the budget allocation, liaising with the Head of Creative Engagement, Executive Director, and Finance Manager, to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Essential: Basic administration skills with Microsoft suite, keen interest in developing a career within the heritage and community sector, and keen interest in the work of our Creative Engagement department.
- Desirable: Experience of working/volunteering with an arts or heritage venue.
