We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to lead our Children's Homes team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our care homes, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and management to the Children's Homes team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services.
- Staff Management: Recruit, select, induct, supervise, train, develop, and support staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and maintain high standards of care and safety.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster positive relationships with children, families, carers, and other professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to ensure the safety and well-being of children and staff.
- Medication Management: Ensure the safe handling and administration of medication in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Individualized Care Plans: Develop, deliver, and evaluate individual care plans to address the unique needs of each child.
- Behavior Management: Manage complex and challenging behavior in a sensitive and restorative manner.
- Admissions and Matching: Manage the admissions process and support colleagues in matching children with suitable care placements.
Requirements:
- Experience: Recent experience as a Registered Manager in a local authority or children's care home.
- Education: Degree-level education, plus the NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent qualifications.
- Skills: Strong IT skills, excellent people skills, and a valid Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Driving License: Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
