We are in search of a Logistics Operations Supervisor to commit to an average of 42 hours weekly, which may include days, nights, and weekends. The schedule will be arranged two weeks in advance, but complete flexibility to accommodate all shift patterns is necessary. This role involves assisting the Transport Shift Manager in overseeing the logistics operations, supervising the driving and transport teams. The supervisor will be expected to lead the shift in the absence of the Shift Manager, ensuring that all vehicles reach their destinations within the designated time frames.

A crucial aspect of this position is to oversee and manage the driving and transport teams.
Engage with customers and suppliers regarding all matters related to product collection and delivery. Communicate with drivers to ensure the depot is informed of any issues as they arise. Relay operational concerns with other company sites and distribution centers. Coordinate operational changes with warehouse and yard supervisors. Address operational requirements with the transport team. Provide leadership and direction to traffic assistants, warehouse staff, and yard supervisors. Manage the shift alongside the Shift Manager. Generate driver journey documentation from internal systems and distribute to drivers. Compile reports on missing volumes, debrief statuses, and unconfirmed orders. Gather weekly data for transport auditing purposes. Ensure agency drivers meet legal working requirements through declaration and digital card verification.Benefits
