We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated pharmacist to join our team in the Cancer Directorate. As a Specialist Pharmacist Cancer Services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients with cancer.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting and maintaining the work of the Aseptic Services team
- Dispensing and supplying aseptic medicines
- Delivering pharmacy services directly on wards, including medication reviews and patient consultations
- Providing specialist clinical pharmacy services to cancer patients
- Working closely with lead specialists within the department
- Supporting the team to ensure aseptic facilities meet external audit standards
- Helping to develop and deliver a safe, efficient, and effective aseptic service
- Monitoring chemotherapy regimens and clinically checking prescriptions prior to production
- Ensuring chemotherapy agents are manufactured to available standards

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master of Pharmacy degree or equivalent
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge
- Experience in clinical hospital pharmacy
- Teaching and tutoring experience
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
