Salary: £55k+ DOE

Working Hours: Mon-Fri 9-5pm

A reputable client in the commercial construction sector is seeking to hire a skilled Construction Cost Estimator. You will be part of a dedicated team engaged in projects valued at up to £2 Million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with suppliers and predicting material costs for various projects.
  • Preparing cost estimates for tenders, which encompass materials, labor, and time, while ensuring budgets are established for any modifications.
  • Drafting documentation for tenders and contracts through collaboration with clients and architects.
  • Establishing a network of contractors and subcontractors for ongoing projects.
  • Maintaining communication with clients and suppliers regarding alterations in design and construction tasks.
  • Conducting risk and value management to anticipate construction expenses.
  • Measuring and assessing work completed on-site.
  • Managing invoices and coordinating payments.
  • Collaborating closely with other construction professionals, including site managers and project managers.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in NEC Contracts.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Cost Estimator in the commercial sector.
  • Knowledgeable in building and construction technologies, processes, materials, and legal matters.
  • Possession of a valid driving license.
