Position: Senior Engineer in Control Systems and Modelling

Type: Hybrid
Location: Salisbury
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000

SR2 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer specializing in Control Systems and Modelling to join a leading aviation firm. This organization is at the forefront of innovative engineering solutions and is experiencing significant growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing advanced Control Algorithms for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
  • Overseeing comprehensive modelling and simulation tasks across various disciplines.
  • Conducting aircraft performance analyses and providing design support for air vehicles.
  • Tuning control algorithms and validating models through detailed analysis of experimental flight test data.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly expanding team, with the company planning to onboard over fifty new professionals.


Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or related industrial sectors.
  • Proficiency in UAV technologies and standard flight control systems.
  • Experience with flight simulation and visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow.
  • Knowledge of CFD and CAD.
  • Programming skills in Python and C/C++.
  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) simulations.
