Job Overview

We are looking for experienced Steel Fabricators and Erectors to join our team. The role involves:

  • Erecting and fitting structural steel components.
  • Drilling and securing anchor bolts to frames and posts.
  • Working on staircases, balconies, and handrails.

In addition, you may be required to work in the fabrication shop as needed.

Responsibilities

As a Steel Fabricator Welder, your duties will include:

  • Supervising skilled trades and assistants to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Fabricating structural and architectural steelwork from technical drawings.
  • Welding primarily using MIG, with MMA as needed, to coded specifications.
Location and Working Hours

This position covers various locations, primarily within a 50-mile radius. Standard working hours are from 07:30 to 16:00, with opportunities for overtime during weekdays and weekends.

Compensation

Competitive pay rates are offered based on experience:

  • Skilled positions: from £15 per hour.
  • Weekend rates: £18 to £20 per hour.
  • Semi-skilled and assistant roles: from £13 to £14 per hour.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualifications.
  • Relevant safety certifications such as CSCS Card or ECITB Safety Passport.
  • Additional certifications like IPAF Mobile Platform Card, Abrasive Wheels, First Aid, Working at Heights, and Confined Spaces are advantageous.
