JWR is delighted to be working with a large hotel property to seek an experienced Maintenance Manager. As a key member of the hotel team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all maintenance activities, including repairs, maintenance, and capital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take control, accountability, and ownership for the maintenance function, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and within budget.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the hotel's assets are properly maintained and extended.
- Manage and supervise a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments, including housekeeping, engineering, and facilities management, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Monitor and control maintenance budgets, ensuring that all expenses are properly accounted for and that the hotel is operating within budget.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the hotel industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and skills, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, with a strong attention to detail.
