Commercial Account Executive

  • Manage a portfolio of existing clients and develop a pipeline of new business in commercial insurance
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance and deliver exceptional customer service and insurance advice
Main Responsibilities:
  • Generate new leads and prospects through business networking events and client visits
  • Identify clients' needs and requirements, and negotiate with insurers to secure suitable coverage
  • Present insurance recommendations and coverage options to clients, and close sales
  • Secure cross-selling opportunities and obtain referrals from clients
  • Provide ongoing advice and support to clients, and attend training sessions to maintain professional development records
Required Skills/Experience:
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English grade A – C
  • Professional insurance qualification (obtained or working towards)
  • 5+ years' experience in an insurance role
  • Confident knowledge of commercial products, including professional indemnity, directors' and officers' liability, liabilities, combined products, contractors, motor fleet, motor trade, marine cargo, etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with good organisational skills and time management
